Activities

Empowering Women Thru Motion offers weekly activities for members.

There are currently weekly walks, hikes and runs to choose from at various locations. Most of our communications are thru facebook.  Let us know which group you’d like to be a part of!

Members can participate in any of these activities which are led by a designated Empowering Women Thru Motion leader. Sign-up is not required and participation is unlimited.

Walks: Group walks are held at parks such as Ramapo Reservation, Ridgewood Duck Pond and Rockland Lake. Distances vary depending on the pace and abilities of the participants. Most activities last about an hour. See the schedule for specific dates, times and locations. All fitness levels are welcome.

Hikes: Group hikes are held at parks such as Ramapo Reservation, Kakiat Park, and Ramapo Lake.  Distances vary depending on the pace and abilities of the participants. Most activities last about an hour or two. See the schedule for specific dates, times and locations. Intermediate and advanced fitness levels are welcome.

Runs: Group runs are held at parks such as Ridgewood Duck Pond, Rockland Lake and Rockefeller Preserve. Distances vary depending on the pace and abilities of the participants. Most activities last about an hour. See the schedule for specific dates, times and locations. Intermediate and advanced fitness levels are welcome.

Special Monthly Fitness Classes: Every month EWTM will sponsor a fitness activity to expose women in our community to different ways to move. Yoga, zumba, boot camp, stretching, aerobics, and kickboxing are among some of the exciting activities planned for this calendar year!! No fee for the class just a small donation for our scholarship fund is requested.   All fitness levels are welcome!!
