Donna Zakar

Donna is a graduate of Rider College and Fordham University and has been a teacher for over three decades. She has worked with children in all grades, kindergarten through seventh in the Westwood Regional School District.  She has served in the roles of classroom teacher, reading specialist and is currently the Gifted and Talented Teacher Coordinator.  Her passion for teaching and nurturing and care for her students led her to be awarded teacher of the year.

Donna loves to spend time with her family and friends and is the proud Godmother to her a niece and two nephews.  When she is not working or spending time with her family she enjoys walking, playing tennis, practicing yoga and spending as much time as possible at the beach in Rhode Island or wherever she can find a patch of sand and sun.

She has been volunteering with Empowering Women thru Motion for many years and looks forward to joining the board and sharing her creativity, education and talents to further their mission.
